Wasn't sure because of the retention. And then I just remembered GMJR is the guy in charge...

Any trades where the Rangers add cap to 22/23 has to be explained. How do the Rangers add in this case 4m Miller, 4,6m Chychrun, and the pay the additional 14m for Zibs and Fox next season, where Strome is the only possible cap subtraction.

Getting both means Strome is a goner. With adequate retention on Miller, it can fit… very snug.

A PPG Center making 4mil and is under contract for multiple years is gonna cost a hell of a lot. This deal isn't far off but LD is the one position they don't need and they would need the 2022 1st instead of the 2023. This isn't the same JT Miller the Rangers traded away for pennies

I sure would like to a 22/23 Ranger post. As you see there is 4m in cap space....Strome is gone (he has to be replaced) so that's 8m in cap space....14 m addition cap for Zibs and Fox. That's deficient of 8m, even if the cap goes up 2m....that's 6m that has to go.

Ask and ye shall receive. I personally think the Rangers should try to get VAN to retain 50%, but this is the minimum required to squeeze it all in.

Miller is good enough that you can trade him for value in the off season.
