A 3rd for Dvorak is "tempting" but I think I'd rather the Sens to just keep White because getting Dvorak means they'd have to buyout White (very cheap option)

Dvorak is 1 year older, they have a very similar AAV and the same term left (3 years)

Colin White is a much better skater and quicker player in general, better defensively and better at possession. Dvorak's problem is his reaction time, just not fast enough to be more efficient

Dvorak is better on faceoffs and is a bit more productive but gets more ice time (and more PP) with usually better player

White is also Chabot's best friend and is very appreciated by everybody. This move wouldn't produce anything for Ottawa but I'm sure a team would take this in a heartbeat

Wow, hard for NYI to say no to this. I don't want to move Pageau, but this is good value.

Would the Canadiens do this if the trade turned into:

Beauvillier and a 3rd for Caufield, 2nd, and 4th?

The Dvorak trade would be a disaster for Montreal.

Giving up a 1st and a 2nd then swapping that same asset out for a 3rd less than a year later... dont think mtl could swallow their pride to do that one.
