Clutterbuck for four more year?

I would sign Giroux but he’ll never come here.

The issue is the 4th line and Bailey is one of the main reasons the isles are terrible this season. Cizikas needs two new wingers and Bailey has to go, whether it’s a buyout or trade. The isles can add ovechkin, it won’t matter if Martin, Clutterbuck, and Bailey are still on the team

I agree with all of this but you know Lou's going to bring back Clutterbuck and Martin, and likely Bailey.

Are you implying that Lou doesn’t care about winning and that he’s ok with losing as long as those guys are in the lineup?

The 4th line spends 99% of their ice time in the defensive zone and they give up a ton of goals. If they are brought back, it just means the isles are going back to the dark ages, there isn’t a player available that can outweigh the negatives of having all 3 of Martin, clutterbuck, bailey in the lineup -bailey has singlehandedly cost the isles at least 5 games this season.

I wouldn’t call Bailey one of his guys , he was left exposed in the expansion draft.

Martin might not even pass his physical because of how old/banged up he is, I don’t think clutter comes back. More likely czarnik/ Panik are on RW
