I think without the pick its pretty interesting. I doubt the bruins would move Swayman for a rental, but its a good way of adding at the deadline without emptying the cupboard. If I’m Sweeney, I’m saying that Lysell and Swayman are only available for Chychrun, but that’s just me.

This doesn't get you Hertle. Swayman is a fine goalie but they're likely still asking for a first on top of him for Hertle

Swayman is really good and SJ really needs a top notch young goalie.

Swayman + a 1st, sign me up (with Hertl ideally resigning with SJ in the offseason of course mwuahaha). The 2nd's not going to cut it though imo, I think Hertl'll command more. Offers for him are likely to get competitive.

It depends if Hertl decides to exercise his NTC. If he doesn't then I think most contenders make an offer.

I think he'll be open as long as the team he's considering is a contender since it would only be for like 2 months plus a playoff run, but that's a good point for sure. If he's not for whatever reason, SJ might not get the return they could if he'd be open.

if we trade Hertl i want him to go to a team 100% cannot resign him, if bergeron retires then Boston would go all in on Hertl in the offseason and that’s not enough of a return for losing our best Center.
