Please tell me Greenway for Tierney isn't actually a thing on here now. lol

I get that Tierney is a center, but Greenway has more points in the last 2 seasons and is part of the Wild's very successful shutdown line. I could see the Wild going after Tierney to center their 3rd line, but not at the expense of a younger, useful player who will be a RFA at the end of this season.

Why would Ottawa make the Seattle and Edmonton trades. Mete is worth at least a 4th round pick and Forsberg a 2nd (this is not their value, just what it would take to make the Sens trade them)

Ottawa should stick to getting picks. Contending teams don't trade good players at the deadline.

Greenway should be gone anyway. I don't think it'll happen at the deadline, but weirder things have happened. That said, yeah Tierney isn't going to close the gap on value. Maybe it would look something like Greenway+4th for Tierney+2nd+prospect.

This summer, sure trade Greenway. For now they need to keep him unless he's used in a package to bring in a legit difference maker (JT Miller?). Tierney is not that player.

Don't really think they do. Duhaime can step into that line, Dewar is ready to stay on the fourth line. We'll still have Gaudreau if we acquire a center, Bjugstad will be back from injury eventually. Rask is still a scratch. If you're acquiring a center of any kind at the deadline you virtually need to move someone so that you can fit that center on your roster.

Kahkonen

That's a 23 man roster right there. And it's not markedly worse than if you had Greenway there. Greenway is not the glue holding that third line together, I promise that.

I'm not saying he's the glue, but I'd say he's better than Duhaime so overall an upgrade for the roster.
