No lol, that would suck to be there tbh. So dead and boring. Better view at home.

I should’ve laid one on that. Seems like quite an easy win. Florida could almost cover that themselves lol.

Haha. I was thinking it was going to end up like the Colorado game, but a close high scoring game works. I am cheering for a defense-optional game.

So far, not the start we wanted.

Really wanna get rid of Beaulieu. Currently a minus 2 playing with Heinola. Also getting average goaltending from Hellebuyck. Really wish he stops leaving the net constantly.

Positives are that Perfetti and Samberg are doing well. Beautiful goal by Connor.

I knew it would be a high-scoring game when Florida scored that first goal so early on.

I think we could have won if only Hellebuyck stayed in the net more often.

Also should Perfetti stay or be sent down to the AHL? I think the rest of the year in the AHL could definitely help his development, but I could see him sticking around. If he plays next game his entry-level deal will slide.

Yesterday was clearly his best game. Showed his creative mindset and proved himself as a future top-6 player.

The Jets suck and papa Lowry can't make a line or D pairing much like Maurice couldn't.. 😆

I'm of the opinion that Perfetti should be sent down and slide his ELC with a big offseason retool but they're likely keeping Perfetti up so whatever, is what it is.

Would make more sense if they just retooled now and sent Perfetti down for some development. But he’s played quite well and will stay up.

Retooled now how? You mean to try to save the season and make the playoffs?

Hell no, no shot they make playoffs even with a retool right now. They need to look to next year and start making some tough choices. Including scheifele and wheeler.

Oh so you mean start the retool now or at/before the trade deadline?

Start looking towards next year now. Which likely means looking at moving stastny, Copp, beaulieu. The jets also need to look at scheifele and wheeler as they are the “leaders” and they haven’t been lead very well. It would be great to see a culture change but I know it won’t happen.

My guess is that they probably know what Copp and Stastny want in terms of dollars and term but I suspect nothing happens until the second week or March at least (deadline is March 21st). At that point, management will have given the players about 25-30 games under the new coach to right the ship and nobody could accuse management of not giving the players a chance.

Yes I agree, the last few trade deadlines it seems there's a GM or two that are busy retooling their rosters with a more longer view in mind which is what Chevy needs to do but given his track record that seems unlikely.

Yeah those two really aren't the leaders they're made out to be, its sad to see how disinterested Scheifele looks out there.

Yeah it’s quite disheartening when your two leaders aren’t really great examples. I’d rather call Morrissey and Connor leaders.

I agree that their are typically some GMs retooling their teams at the deadline. That needs to be the jets. It would help so much to snag a few picks to help restock the cupboards. Then be used in trades or developed.

This sounds about right. People at TNSE are smart enough to realize this. I honestly hope there’s a few decently big trades made.

I'd like some big trades too but I am not holding my breath. At the very least if Stastny isn't going to be re-signed (his choice or Jets choice), I hope they find a place for him where he can chase a cup.
