Why? Because he had one good game? That’s not enough for Chicago to justify keeping them when they’re this bad, if anything they should trade him tomorrow and hope someone gives them a 2nd instead of a 3rd for him.

Been hearing it from Chicago fans. Hes apparently been playing better as of late and getting top line time with Kane again. Now your right things could change but unlike the beginning of the year I dont sense any rush to move him

Now at the deadline things could change but as of now I dont get the sense they are in a rush to move him. Now Kubalik could be another story

I watched the last few minutes + OT + SO of the Leafs game. I’m glad to see Keefe has finally realized that despite not having the legs anymore, Spezza still has top 2 mitts on the team and should always be used in the shootout. He’s still got crazy hands, and the veteran poise you need to not feel pressured in the shootout. I remember watching a Leafs vs. Flyers game a couple years ago where Spezza scored in the shootout in like the 8th round lol, I coulda told you then that he shoulda shot WAY earlier. I think they had him behind like Barrie and Mikheyev, he ended up scoring of course, but iirc Philly scored that round too, but if he’d shot earlier they woulda won earlier lol

Spezza is basically our shootout secret weapon and honestly we would have probs beat Minnesota via shootout if he didn't get runover in OT.

And yeah still remember when he saved us during that 11 round shootout against Philly 2 years ago. And beating Hellebuyck for our only Shootout of 2021 lul

If you exclude the first 4 games (they won their opener then lost 3 straight) the Avs have literally not had any 7 game stretch where they have lost 4 of the games the entire rest of the season so far lol. They’ve lost 3 in a row (games 2-4) once, and only one other time have they lost 2 consecutive games. As it stands they’d be playing Dallas right now (based on points percentage). I don’t see Dallas taking 4 off the Avs lol (nor the Kings, Ducks, or Jets, who could also end up in that 2nd wild card slot).

Dunno about the first round. But I too believe they wont get past the second.
During regular season people seem to forget the rules are somewhat relaxed when rhe playoffs start.
Colorado lacks grit, it did last season and situation hasn't improved. Not totally convinced about the goaltending either.
Teams like Vegas, and Stlouis will be a tough challenge to them when it gets physical.

(Always forget which teams are bound to face eact other, at what point so dunno if those two are even possible in first two rounds))

Clean hit. Stick unfortunately hit Mack

Wasn’t sure if this was head contact or a clean hit from Hall until you pointed out the stick hit him in the face, my fantasy team can’t catch a break, as I finally have an almost healthy roster for like the 1st time since the start of the season, Mack and Dvorak get injured

Ref most likely saw Hall hitting Mack and not the stick hitting Mack, human error

they started with a 5 minute major then walked it to a 2 minute interference, dont see how this play is interference.

If the ref calls a Major and reviews it, they can't take the penalty off, the guy has to get at least 2

The rule in question: "For major and match penalties, the referee who made the call will be required to review it using the monitor or tablet at the scorer's table. He will have the discretion to either confirm his call or reduce it to a minor penalty. He will not be able to rescind the penalty call altogether."

Halfway through the season, here are the teams that surprised/disappointed me (based on my expectations:

Suprised: Predators, Blues, Ducks, Red Wings, Penguins
Disappointed: Islanders, Flyers, Oilers, Jets, Blackhawks

I could be wrong , I just don’t trust Kuemper or their D against certain teams. I highly doubt Dallas gets that 2nd WC spot, but I wouldn’t be confident if they faced the kings, Flames, or wild in the 1st round. Those teams have the personnel to expose the weakness of the Avs D top 4 D

The Avs have “grit” in their forward core , it’s their defense and goaltending that I don’t trust against certain teams.

Imagine Dallas beats them again lol.

Tbh it could be a real possibility, the Stars are a completely different team in the playoffs, and beat them in 2020 with about the same roster both ways.

As Marchand would say, they're the reason players pay 20% in escrow.

Bet they won’t even fill that up regularly.

And I thought it was strange to have the Minnesota Vikings play at UMinn’s football stadium.

So I've been told by a Nucks fan that VAN wouldn't trade Miller to Wild in exchange to Fiala+Boldy+1st.

Now I think this particular Nucks fan is more or less insane but I'd like to hear your opinions on this one.
