Idk who proposed that olofsson trade but COL isn’t doing that, that almost to JT Miller return area.

I think Miller can return a much better package.

Ehh, Miller gets more since he has a year left.

Hence the ALMOST, but don’t tell me swapping Barron for Kaut doesn’t get it done. Oloffson is a nice player but if you’re giving up more than a 2nd and a B prospect you’re getting hosed. For COL he isn’t an upgrade over anybody in the top 6, he’s due a new contract, and he’s so so defensively,

Like I said ALMOST. And don’t tell me replacing Barron with Kaut doesn’t get you 95% of the way there.

These moves would certainly make our team much worse, especially in the future. Sabres wouldnt be taking on crappy contracts for free

Well, yeah, adding Barron on certainly gets it done for Miller, because he's going to be amazing. Barron is a massive upgrade from Kaut.

Yes, but Barron is way better than Kaut as a prospect, when I looked at one website for thread "Top 10 best prospects of each team", there Barron and Olausson were AVS best prospects, Helleson was in third place, Kaut was somewhere in the middle along with Foudy and Ranta.

Interesting, a Leaf and Sabre fan hate the same trade!
@Skyraider112 Hägg, Miller and Pysyk could all be gone next year, Dermott, Holl and Ritchie all have at least one more year. So I was guessing 3 signed players were better than no signed players.
You could be correct about the AVS trade. Compher plays RW and can PK, Kaut is a recent 1st round pick plus a 1st is included.
Buffalo has other options at LW (Krebs, Mittelstadt, Asplund, Girgensons), while only Tuch and Okposo are signed and play RW.
But if you do not like the trade, I will yield to your opinion.
As for the EDM trade, Buffalo is giving up nothing, please explain how adding two RHD makes the team worse, when Jokiharju is the only RHD signed for next year.

The best 2 defenceman in the trade are Leaf players. This is what the trade sucks. How can anyone argue that half the defence on a much worse defensive team, would improve the defence on a much better defensive team?

Because Barrie and Ceci are disasters on skates. Just watch them play and you will see what I mean. Sure Barrie could put up 60 pointz in theory but he will be directly responsible for at least 30 goals against. Their contracts are also abysmal.
