Seattle and Chicago definitely decline right off the bat. AZ should as well. Byram's concussion/head issues are a BIG problem. He is not that bonafide prospect any more

Backup goalies, even 'good' ones, cost like 3rd rounders

no chance AZ makes this deal , Byram is shut down due to concussions, his career may be in jeopardy.

lets just lay off with the byram talk, no one knows either way and its none of the fans business.

Montreal is likely to be bad again next year so odds are I give you a relatively high second round pick in a better draft for a likely bottom four first round pick in this weaker draft.

Edit: Wait I just saw you're giving me a pick in 2024 and there's retention... I'm pretty sure this trade doesn't even make sense for Colorado anyways.

A viable concern regarding a prospect in a massive trade? No we will talk about that. I'm not speculating anything about exactly what's wrong with him, but it's fair talking point.

If you take "head issues" as mental health that's not what I'm implying

he left for personal reasons, so we dont know what is going on with him, how hes feeling and his mental health.. That is why I think people should cool it the guessing what is going on with him. He already had an interview expose that basically sounded like he was dealing with some heavy thoughts at times due to the concussions...."it wasn't depressed, but he felt on edge after months" is a line from it

and its none of anyones business how byram is doing, the team doesnt have to give updates to the world and neither does he. They are supporting him and that is all that matters

and saying its a BIG problem is speculating, you dont know what he left the team for, you are assuming and speculating that

I'm not trying to downplay anything he's going through. You're talking to a guy who popped a blood vessel cheering on Robin Lehner lol

I'm just saying me looking at a trade that OP had for probably the hottest name on the market, and his comment re: Byram as a prospect, that the deal isn't as close to a slam dunk as it's being portrayed to be

It's all good no hard feelings. I recognize your username and I know we've chatted before on other ACGMs. I'm rooting for Byram too. He's legitimately one of my favorite prospects

byrams a special talent and hope he is able to get what he needs to be better, whatever is going on with him. Hate the idea of speculating the worse for him

Avs just have had too many bad stories with concussions and players...Timmins, Joey Hishon, Colin Wilson, Matt Calvert. Just really hope hes doesnt become another concussion footnote especially since all the hits he took were so avoidable by the guys who got him in the head.

Avs decline. Flyers probably decline (dependent on offers from teams Giroux would go to). Avs decline and EJ declines to waive. Avs decline. Avs laugh and decline.
