No need for Marco Scandella. HABS already traded him in the past for a 2nd.

Give us a 1st and 2nd and we`re good

Yeah, no.

The value difference between the 2 players is smaller.

Marco Scandella was a #6-7 DMan on the HABS when they traded him. Not much value there, but you don`t have to agree

We agree to disagree

Nah, Scandella and a 1st to take his contract is more than enough for a number 4 guy.

Hard pass on that Chiarot stuff. He's no better than Scandella and Army ain't trading a '22 1st for that overrated slug. The Zadina thing is interesting, but also a gamble because he seems to be regressing even while the team around him improves. In the end, I think I'd pass simply because the last thing we need to go after in the present is a (theoretically) offensive winger and I'm not sure we have someone capable of doing what Kostin does on the 4th line. Or maybe I wouldn't... I dunno, that one's a thinker. Then again, Detroit probably declines anyway.

Hahahahaha what??? That an overkill steep price to pay for a rental who's been getting caved in all season.

Hard no from Montreal. Chiarot will net a decent return on his own and Scandella's contract sucks.

I am not big on Chiarot either, but he would work for this season and the Blues would get out of the Scandella contract. That would free something up for the offseason.

Detroit would have a long hard think on that offer. It would come down to how the returning players are valued and also how early players like Berggren can step up. The offer is thought provoking.

The Habs wouldn't go for it anyway, but I disagree Chiarot works. He's at best an average D-man in horrid form that had one nice-ish playoff run aided greatly by refs stowing their whistles that people overrate. Most importantly, he coughs up the puck in the D zone way too much. I'd rather get someone else (Lindholm or Soucy, for instance), or just stick with Mikkola through his seasoning phase.

And frankly, if we can get Colt right again and Binny back in fighting form, no reinforcements are needed. They'd be nice... but not needed.
