Fairly minor but I thought Grundstrom or Lemieux would've been better choices to select from LA.

    Kraken picked MacDermid over:

Andreas Athanasiou, Blake Lizotte, Brendan Lemieux, Carl Grundstrom, Martin Frk, Kale Clague, and Jonathan Quick. It’s amazing.

They should have picked Matheson from the pens. He is a good offensive dman.

I probably wouldn't have signed Deangelo. I think coaching like Brind'Amour is what he needed to get back on track.

And has a contract that is an albatross…Tanev was one of the few “correct” picks.

Seattle picked a “financially secure” team. They easily could have spent to the cap, and taken guys like Duchene, etc, but they opted for financial stability. If Ron Francis can get a haul at the deadline, great, but otherwise he handcuffed this team for the next 5+ years.

Rodrigues was a UFA and healthy scratch in playoffs. SEA should have taken Zucker.

Donskoi and Tanev were fine picks.

They wasted their picks from CHI, CBJ and PHI, as well as the other names you mentioned. Not to mention that they had Jake Bean available from CAR too.

Tanev is 10x the hockey player ERod is.
I wouldn't even think twice about trading ERod for him.
It would be an incredibly stupid more for SEA to do that.

The Kraken would still be bad. They lack chemistry/identity.

Lizotte would be my pick. Always go for center depth in expansion.
