got Ryan so that if they want a big hitter 4th line in the playoffs they can go Crouse-Ryan-Clifford or Crouse - Ryan - Simmonds. Would really only happen if there was an injury in the top 6 and spezza moved up

Just did my own trade with Dehaan to the Leafs. As a hawks fan I want no less than a second but if there was a condition on the 5th that could make it a 3rd or 4th, I might be fine with it (Like if the leafs make the 3rd round, its another 3rd, something along the lines of that)

Arizona will ask for a 1st for Crouse and wont settle for less. Considering how he is doing this year, his current contract, age, RFA status, and playstyle, he should definitely return a 1st.

Ryan is actually quite underrated and his struggles this year are more an issue with Edmonton's atrocious 5v5 system. I doubt Edmonton would retain on him and he is worth more than that since he's not a rental

Honestly I was thinking of a trade similar to what the Bruins did with Backes

Where they traded him and a 1st to Anaheim and got Kase back (Who had 23 points)

I was thinking Ritchie + 1st for Crouse

As I think theres potential for the trade should we decide to go add another forward

That's just one Hawks fan, de Haan has been amazing this year and without him the b-line would be much worse. A lot of playoff teams would pay Chicago's price for de Haan, for what he brings to the b-line

According to JFresh's war% model, DeHaan is an 88% out of 100 which is definitely not a 4th. For example; Adam Fox is 99%, Morgan Reilly is 66%. There is more too it obviously but those are the overall numbers. Reilly being a 96% on EV offense but 4% on EV defense. DeHaan is more defensive than Reilly which helps buff his percentage.

Thank you, DeHaan has been more valuable than most people notice. I used to be ignorant to defensive defenseman like some fans but i've paid more attention and saw what true value DeHaan actually has.

So trade Villeneuve and a pick for nothing? ... cause you'd lose Ryan to waivers trying to send him to the taxi squad

I think you will find the Hawks are going to be chasing 22' picks for CDH.

I was mostly kidding. I realize the demand for him would be higher.
