With the season Kerfoot is currently having, I think it would be reasonable for Toronto to ask for a 1st for him

Does Mikheyev take an almost 50% pay cut from a team whom he already requested a trade from?

What team is crazy enough to give up a 2nd for Mrazek?

Does Klingberg sign for just 7mil?

Campbell is 29 and this is his chance (only and last chance) for a big payday, does he take just 4.2mil?

Engvall is a RFA with rights, why does he take a pay cut?

Sandin takes just 1.2mil?

In what planet does Joey Anderson become a NHLer, when so far is 4 seasons hes continually not made it?

(All these are relevant, because you have just 1.625 mil for just 18 skaters, with no room for injuries on a team with some older guys (Simmonds/Muzzin/etc...)

This is Jack Campbells likely one chance for a big contract. He's made less than 5 million for his whole career at this point.

He's taking the most money IMO, and I don't blame him at all. I think he atleast gets the ullmark contract

If Klingberg were willing to take a 5-year deal, Dallas would have signed him already. The issue between him and the Stars had nothing to do with money, but a lot to do with the fact that he wouldn't budge on an 8-year contract & Dallas simply isn't willing to give him that kind of deal. He hits free agency & I don't him willing to accept any less than a 7-year deal.

Klinger wants 8 million for 8 years in Dallas. So to take home the same money in 7 years in Toronto he would need quite a bit more than that. If he’s willing to take 7/5 in Toronto he’d probably take 6/5 in Dallas and he would have been extended months ago. Could be wrong. Just my take from what I’ve read

Agreed, but there will always be people saying a third line centre isn't worth a first lol.

Holl is worth a third as trade value, not necessairly to the Hawks, chose them at random.
Leafs have a lot of depth at forward, Anderson could be a 4th liner easily. Engvall was signed for more than he as worth. We'll see Campbell's final stats at the end of the year, he's been below average the last 5 games. He could very well make 5 million. If Klingberg doesn't sign at 7 in Toronto, then they pass I think. If Mrazek's numbers improve to 2.60 GAA, .910 % he's definately worth a second, lots of hockey left to play. Sandin has been okay, not saying he's going to be great in the future, but low offensive numbers for no 2 dman on powerplay.

In that case TO passes. 38 by the time contract comes to an end, I don't think Dallas is that dumb either. Maybe a Buffalo or Philly will do it

Yet Kapanen gets a 15th overall pick, and rentals, yes rentals go for 1st rounders. Shake your head.

He was an RFA after the season that doesn’t count and it was during the offseason

I'd say it really depends on the caliber of the player. High end middle six forwards should have no problem fetching a single 1st rounder if not just under that price
