Bruins adding C RD and LW

Created by: AFox23
Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 27, 2022
Published: Jan. 27, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
In Columbus deal, they give up DeBrusk, a 2nd and two prospects. DeBrusk would probably be cut loose anyway. And the 2nd rounder they get back from Leafs in Ritchie deal.

So it is basically Jenner/Ritchie for Beecher/Lohrei

Subban will take a couple middle round picks to shrink that salary, but it fills a short term need and removes Wagner and Moore from books for next season.

    This is….well, bad.
Trade 1: Don’t look know, but Debrusk is playing awesome. There’s zero chatter about the trade request around boston. Wouldn’t be surprised if they worked it out. I like Jenner. Maybe there’s a different fit, but i kinda doubt it.
Trade 2: there is no amount of retention that would get the bruins to take subban. He stinks.
Trade 3: bahahahaha are you kidding me? Absolutely not.

The Bruins management team is horrific so maybe they would do these deals. And DeBruska had two good games. That does not make up for two bad years.

No, he’s had like 10 straight. It does look like a corner has been turned. Maybe its temporary but its encouraging.

Even Sweeney isn’t dumb enough to take on subban and ritchie. The nice thing about having a president is that he would probably block the trades and fire Sweeney. It’s checks and balance level stupid.

The only way Ritchie comes back is if he's part of a deal that includes a valuable player which I don't ever see happening, especially with the Leafs.
Subban isn't a good fit and there are hundreds of better, cheaper options if they wanted a bottom pair RD for some reason.
CBJ would get better offers from almost every other team. Also, I hope DeBrusk stays until next year and gets re-evaluated.

Bad? Are you becoming soft as you age? Lol. Terrible is more like it.

Sadly PK and Ritchie seem like a Donny thing to do rather something productive.

It was kind of....one move they should do (Jenner) and two types of moves they'll end up doing (Subban and Ritchie).

And I did not trade away a 1st.

I feel like the Bruins should be trading a first.

Adding two years of a horrid contract in ritchie…adding a useless bottom pair d man for over 2 mill. Just poor concepts.

Jenner trade isn’t happening, he was just named team captain, and has openly announced how he loves living in Columbus and how he wants to stay there. So even if they rebuild vs retool, it’s hard to see Columbus trading Jenner who does already have a 4 year extension with the team.

Doesnt this kind of explain that these trades are not well done if you say "The Bruins management is horrific so maybe they would do these deals" Everybody on their couch thinks they can do it better.
