Rangers are looking for a long run in postseason, that would gave them great depth on third Center line, a option if Strome doesnt come back next year to. And they get rid of Nemeth who is a terrible defenseman. I think both club would be ok with something like that.

replace Nemeth and the 3rd for a 2nd and you have a deal

Nemeth will be there if Dvorak goes in for cap purposes. And no this deal look fine to me. lundkvist is a high talented prospect, Chytil still have a decent potential and a first and a third for a rental defenseman and a very solid third line center is very good for the Habs.

I dont know enough about Chytil and Lundkvist to have an opinion on the value for Dvorak. But their upside need to be off the chart based on scouts to give up he only experience at center Montreal has.

Hugues wont go in a total rebuilt à la Ottawa IMO. Doesnt mean this would be a bad trade on the long term.

Hugues said he want a fast pace team. So Dvorak doesn’t seem to fit in that particularly. They will need to move some pieces around even if they are pretty thin a the center position right now. Lundkvist was drafted under Gorton regime so he like the players obviously. Great puck moving defenseman with amazing offensive aptitude, skate extremely well can join the rush. Fit the new NHL. As for Chytil he is still young, can play a 200 foot game. Got some skill but is very inconsistent. They
