not moving swayman and monahan don't look so good anymore rather keep smith he has good chem with marchy and bergy.
lysell or lohrei will have to be in chych deal

also vlasic for debrusk is bad for us rather use debrusk to acquire a player to upgrade our team or just get a pick where we decide who we want to take

Bruins are not getting chychrun, everybody needs to give up on that idea.

Crouse would be good for size I agree, but unless we can get debrusk sent off it doesn’t make sense as he would probably be 4 th line low ice time

Vlasic doesn’t help us, I get the size thing your going for and can’t say I’m against it but with LD we currently have, we already need to move one guy out this off-season so unless we can trade one or two LD or atleast swap one for theirs it makes no sense

And monahan I’m honestly game with, think he’s better then what this season says, believe he’s spent most of his time on third line this year little on the 2nd, with ok teammate, So IMO if you put him between pasta and hallsey I think his point production creeps back up to normal rate and his face offs are still strong( I mean he’s no Bergeron but bruins fans are never gunna be happy with anyone not named Bergeron) but strong enough to be a 2C for sure. 6 mil for another year isn’t horrible either, Now with all that said I’m still not sure this gets him out of Calgary, probably a second does, but this is definitely a topic I hope more people comment on, only other issue is what do bruins do for 1st/2nd RW? Not moving nick up, only logical option from within is move coyle or haula to wing and put the other at center third line or make another trade which we lose more draft picks

From flames perspective I would consider this. We need the cap space but will still need a body to play on the third line.
Monahan has been getting better every game, I think he could produce quite well in Boston playing with Hall.

Bruins will be beat out by almost anyone else who wants Chychrun, also apparently Arizona is saying Crouse isn’t available for some odd reason

So as flames fan you think smith and 3rd would be enough? Or what would your BOS-CGY trade look like if Boston wanted monahan?

Hawks decline. Vlasic has been good at BU and the hawks have no interest in keeping debrusk next year at 4 mil or whatever his QO is

Vlasic is well thought of in CHI and due to our unfortunate status as a bottom 10 team, this isn't a clever move for us.

I would rather get Jake - at least then if we don't qualify him we get full cap relief rathe than paying Smith next year!

Smart man, Jake is worth more then everyone believes, he’s been under utilized last couple years, with Calgary in the playoff I don’t see a move with monahan happening but as BOS I would think debrusk and 3rd would be easy yes.

On the QA I don’t think if his season picks up any team will qualify him at that, maybe someone with alot of cap but at that point whoever has his rights will still be able to match it so worse comes to worse match it and move him later for draft pick least 4th rd, which is what I see Boston doing. But also Jake isn’t dumb, he’s got real good character and may sign a short extension for cheaper especially with someone else close to hometown
