TDL moves and some possible off season options for Allvin

Created by: Boldirev
Team: 2021-22 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 27, 2022
Published: Jan. 27, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Horvat, Boeser and Miller won't all be moved, but at least one probably will and maybe even two. Maybe a bit optimistic in value, but that's what I would deem to be reasonably fair returns.

I honestly can't see the Pens making any moves for depth forwards given how deep we are, but if they did, this would be fine I guess.

Don’t see a smallish D moving the needle fir Miller. The late 1st is overrated.

Bo isn’t moved for that.

I’d be ok with that Boeser deal.

Trading away 2 C’s is going for a rebuild. Canucks fans probably cry like we too often do already lol

Detroit and Vancouver aren't playoff teams so there is no point in making the trade at the TDL. I'm sorry but that is to much for 1 year of Horvat!

A Miller trade that doesn't include Schneider? Can it be? Drury would have to seriously consider it.

I think it would depend how we draft this year. If we get a high end centre then I don't see a point, if we don't this could be an alright deal. I don't hate it, Horvat is a good all around player.

I may be wrong, but I believe Horvat hails from that area and was a Wings fan. Great fit for both him and Detroit, an easy extension.

These were merely hypothesized options. I did say that probably only one of BB, Horvat or Miller gets moved (maybe 2) and Rutherford has hinted that he believes a rebuild is unnecessary.

Lundkvist seems to be quite the talented young man and consistently ranked above Schneider by many publications. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he is the RD coming back.

You guys are deep? Then how come you haven't won a playoff round in several years now?

Mmm, considering there isn't a 1st round pick or one of the Wings A-list prospects involved, I wouldn't call any Horvat deal that leaves out that criteria an overpayment

What does this year's team have to do with last year's team? Nice try though.

So clearly you don't know what depth means then if that's your statement. Can't say I'm shocked, but hey, keep trolling me. It's fun.

It has never been my intention to troll you, we just have different opinions, nothing wrong with that. It's been my belief that you can't just change the depth and all of a sudden expect different results, the core players also need to take a step forward and learn from past defeats, and I'm getting kind of skeptical of that with Pittsburgh, despite the fact that Jarry has bounced back real well. I wouldn't call swapping out McCann and Tanev for McGinn and Heinen an upgrade, nor a downgrade

He's from Ontario about an hour and a half from the border. You could be right about his favorite team I have no idea. But it would make sense Detroit is closer than Toronto. If the trade depended on him extending in Detroit then ok.

I didn't say anything about an overpayment he only has 1yr left what if he doesn't want to play in Detroit? Then it's 4 assets for nothing. I did say in the response above if the trade depended on him extending in Detroit then ok.

Don’t get me wrong I like Lundkvist but we need size or Rathbone becomes expendable instead of groomed for offence.

I don't think Detroit is that far away from being a playoff contender, that's the only reason I'd consider Detroit a fit for Horvat in the first place, so getting an extension in place before he's UFA eligible should be fairly realistic in my book
