End of deadline roster maybe

Description
Koskinen dump based on the ghostisbhere trade model. I say it would cost less because (unlike ghost) Koskinen contract is up at the end of this season and the yotes will get a couple of picks for their troubles which they are stockpiling.

Barrie has some value to seattle as he has a good league rep for being an effective OFD and PP1 quarterback (especially given that gio is certainly gone by the deadline). Also his value is increased b/c he's a RHD. Soucy is a solid bottom pair DFD that oil need for a fair cap hit and the pick coming back as well is fluid between a 3rd and a 4th. Either way I wouldn't see it being around for long.

The Koskinen and Georgiev deal is a joint deal as moving mikko to Ariozna is contingent on the Rangers accepting the Georgiev part of the transaction chain. From a few insiders I've gathered that Geo goes for roughly a 3rd round pick (in terms value) and Edmonton is a destination that makes sense for the unhappy netminder.

This isn't a permanent fix but, this would be the best that the Oil can realistically do in the given time frame. There is a good chance to grow cap space to re-sign key guys (dump Kassian, trade rfa(s)) and allows for the 1st and 2nd rounders to be in play come Draft day to make impactful moves that carry term.

Georgiev costs more i think and sounds like Rangers are in no hurry to trade him.

I's think Driedger could maybe be picked from Seattle with Soucey if you are sending Barrie that way. Would need to add a bit though

Agreed. That can be an option as well. Im just going off of what insiders are saying his pricetag is. given he is an RFA after this season, might be better for the Rangers to move on and get some capital to help add for a cup run because they really need some skater upgrades to help shesty

Small thing but you can't deal the 2022 3rd. It and the 2022 2nd are tied up in the keith deal due to the conditions. Likely it'll be a 3rd but if the Oil find their mojo who knows.

I also agree that Georgiev goes for more.

I can see a little more for georgiev but not much more in terms of value because of him having 1YL and being a backup that hasn't sniffed breaking out in the Ranger system. As for the 3rd I used the 3rd in the seattle deal. if anything just kick the years down to make them work
