Nope, Detroit isn't doing that... Schultz is a negative asset to us and that return is not good...

No thanks... The target for Leddy should be 18OA - 37OA with retention, or 38OA - 58OA without retention... He's still a mobile, top pairing, puck moving defensemen and with retention and a pro-rated TDL salary, he is a very good asset for a team making a push...

Now, obviously, the market will dictate his value and if he plays like he did last night down the stretch, his value drops, but defensive depth is at a premium come TDL and I doubt Yzerman will pull less than that...

Stetcher could be had for VERY cheap, since he probably won't get much work in after being medically cleared, in time for the TDL, so any team acquiring him is taking a bit of a gamble... He should be able to be acquired for a C level asset (later round pick or middling prospect/reclamation project)...

Here's my perspective on these trades:

1. Hertl would be a great pickup, but I think that's an overpay for a rental. Though if he had term it would be a different story.

2. Barabanov's been great for SJ this year, I think they'd want to keep him unless an offer they can't refuse hits the table. Value would need to be higher to get him.

3. Keller would be a great move for the Caps, but giving up that much for him would be a tough sell. Coyotes would probably ask for around that much though, so I'll say it's a good trade.

4. It's small potatoes but Kempny is worth a 6th at best right now, a 4th is pushing it. Not a big deal though.

5. Not really sure what to think about this one, I can see a team paying that much for him but I'm unsure whether or not he's worth that much. It might be a better option to keep him, considering the fact that the new 3rd line center in this situation is T.J. Oshie (who's never been a full-time center in his career).

6. With how Hagelin's contract has been aging, I can't see anybody paying to get him. His price falls in the vicinity of "future considerations".

7. As a Wings fan, I feel the most qualified to talk about this one. It's a pretty good trade, but the biggest concern I have is that Schultz is a RHD. Acquiring him would tip the balance of handedness on the blue line, and while it's not the end of the world, it's not ideal for the Wings. I'd still take it though (if there aren't better offers on the table), a 2nd and a 6th is a decent return for Leddy and Schultz could conceivably find a longer-term home with Detroit.

8. I don't really see the need for this one. Vanecek and Holtby have both been playing pretty well this year and Vanecek is a better long-term option for the Caps. I can understand the reunion angle though.

Overall, good team! The trade values can be a little off at times, but they're mostly within the realm of consideration. Imagine moving Hertl to 3C and creating the ultimate center group lol

A third

You could probably get Stetcher for less than that to be honest... A conditional 6th, that could go up to as high as a 4th based on number of games played? That feels fair...

First off. Hi how are you

Second ive talked to sharks fans and they said that would be the price for both guys.

The reason I traded oshie is because for injury reasons and age and what’s left in the gas tank. I need to work on the values with what we have

deal

I think he'd be a great gamble for a playoff team... I had really high hopes for him going into this season, then he got banged up in camp and kinda fell on the depth chart because we played well to start, then when he finally got into some games, jacked his wrist up and has been on IR ever since... He was fantastic in the WC last summer and I think he's got a lot in him if he's healthy...

I'm doing well, heading back up north for school this weekend will be a bit of a hassle but I'm hoping to get comfortable there pretty quickly. Not much has happened recently though, other than getting my car its first new set of tires and a new pair of glasses (for me, not the car lol). How are you?

I’m doing good. School has been good. I getting my head straight and starting to do all my work. I had a meeting with my lacrosse coach about my future. He told me I could make money playing box lacrosse all weekend this week. And I had to choose 10 colleges. Maryland and Georgetown are my top choices. He also told me he would try to get me a internship to the islanders because I told him I want to do Sports management. So that’s great. Ngl I was just thinking about where you have been. Do you have Twitter.

Good to hear you're doing well, and it's great that you're already setting a plan for your future! I waited until my senior year to actually do any college searching lol. That internship sounds like a great opportunity, especially if you're looking into doing hockey management. To answer that last question: I do technically have a Twitter account, but I never really use it. I think the last time I actually tweeted or interacted with anybody on it was early 2019.
