Because moving an AHL player for a 2nd pair defenceman is a loss somehow.

You and I vehemently disagree on Holl. He is NOT a 2nd pairing dman. He's a decent 3rd pairing dman and Nylander has been killing in the AHL since being traded showing signs of recovering from his injury. We'll keep him.

Holl has been a good player and TO has been really good this season. The anti Holl people just are out to lunch. Would I rather him be a 3rd pair guy? Yeah probably but there are few guys available who would be an upgrade over Holl. And the cost for an upgrade would be a major haul. Nylander is not remotely close to Holl's level.

Pens have some salary issues. They have no space right now anyway, so it doesn't work regardless, but I'd say the prospects the Pens are most unlikely to move are POJ, O'Connor, Puustinen, Nylander, Clang and Blomqvist.

Crouse sucks, he's just a big guy who hits and is having an okay season being a big dog on a horrible team.

The Pens don't need Holl though. If they make a move for a dman it will be a depth guy. If it were a need it would be a different story.

When they were better he was a 3rd/4th liner who hit a lot but isn't good defensively. Just a throw back to the old days where guys that ran around smashing into other guys was valuable. He offers nothing the leafs need. He's a faster Ritchie

They were not interested in him. The guy who reported that said he thought Holl should be a target and that writer is one of the worst in the business. He always reports BS rumors. It doesn't matter if it's deadline or not, there's no cap space.

I hear you. I think the Leafs are in the same boat. Just a depth add is likely in there card.

LOL no. Why would the leafs trade him there for a 7th round pick. SDA would become the next Brayden Point because it's Tampa and of course he would. He's on an elc so they just keep him.
