Initial Creation Date: Jan. 27, 2022
Published: Jan. 27, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
With the inconsistent play and all the injuries, this team is done. Unless they suddenly figure things out, they will be too far to have any real chance at the wild card spot soon.

We will know by the tdl if this team is going to be a seller if we don’t know already.

This organization needs a major overhaul. There doesn't seem to be any direction. You have Beaulieu playing double the minutes as your most prized prospect defenseman!!

Done. Make the call.

What's the next trade?

Bozak + 2nd was a long running joke for Avs fans about 10 years ago.

I agree but unless they decide to do a full rebuild and start from scratch then Schief, Morrissey, Lowry won't be traded

Copp gets a first, Stanley a second, maybe a 7th for Beau. If Chevy wants change you’ll see a big name go like Scheifele or Morrisey

Tbh they don’t need a rebuild, but they need a culture change. I think it’s 100% reasonable to have everyone on the table besides Connor, Dubois, Perfetti, Hellebuyck, Pionk and Ehlers. Everyone should be in play for potential trades. The team needs a culture change, they don’t seem like they have much direction going forward. Like others have mentioned, you have beaulieu doubling Heinolas minutes. That shouldn’t be happening on a night like tonight. This season is a write off at this point, no chance they make the playoffs.

Replace bozak with a prospect and you got a deal

They should be in full swing development/call up the young guys for some games mode now, this season is over!

Other then that one bad giveaway I thought Kovacevic looked pretty good out there, they need to get Gawanke in a game soon.

That offer would get beat easily. It would take an additional asset just to move Ritchie

Well, I got nothing to say ahah. You already know my stance on Stanley. If the oilers want him, I would gladly give a second round pick for him.

I think if they lose a few more games in this 6 game slide they will fire Chevy. The only way that a Schiefele/Morrissey/Wheeler get traded is if Chevy is gone.

Their schedule only gets harder, so I would think that’s a likely scenario. I think Chevy could make a big trade if he’s feeling the pressure, which won’t be a good thing cause it’ll likely be a panic move to try and save his job. Usually those don’t end up very well.

I feel like he wouldn't make a panic move because it sounds like Mark Chipman gets the final say. When Mark Stone was available in OTT I heard somewhere the Jets were about to make a trade for him but Chipman didn't allow it. Instead they resigned Wheeler which was the wrong move.

That makes me want to puke looking back at it. I’m pretty sure the hold up was over Roslovic as well. Yeesh imagine how that would’ve looked now. Having stone over wheeler.
