Description
As of right now I think we’re fine. Honestly I’d like to see us stick with it and hopefully we can bring back our best free agents in the off season. But right now ERod hasn’t really put up any production and fallen off his magic. But to me I think the team needs a few younger guys under the age of 25. Which is where we bring in Keller with a trade and POJ after Matheson is traded. Now the Namestnikov trade is probably unnecessary but he can bring a good 200 foot game from what I hear a lot and he’d be a perfect fit to complete our PK units.
Trades

PIT
  1. Keller, Clayton
Additional Details:
As for Pittsburgh we need a more younger player like Keller and a top 6 winger that could fit with Geno

  4. Zucker, Jason
  5. 2022 1st round pick (PIT)

That package just isn't enticing enough for Arizona to take, plus management has made it clear they're not trading high round picks and prospects

The trade could be worth trading the draft picks for considering Keller is locked on for another 7 years. Although I think ERod can be a good value asset that teams will be calling Arizona for that’ll result in them acquiring more draft picks considering all the draft picks they are holding on to right now. He’s put up around the same production of Keller this season and being payed $1M only

Mathesson is probably not worth his contract, and Oilers wouldn't want to do the cap exchange Kassian for Mathesson. Oilers would be better just to trade Kassian to Arizona as you did with the Pens. Gotta think a Kassian's semi cap dump is gonna cost more due to his term.

Matheson is worse cap than Kassian, and he has more term left

Let’s just agree to disagree lol. Matheson hasn’t been bad at all and if given more opportunity I believe he can keep performing at a good level. He’s been quite reliable for Pittsburgh. If Edmonton trusted Ceci with playing top 4 minutes I think they’ll trust Matheson as well playing top 4 minutes. He’s a good defencemen in my eyes.
