That is a really bad trade for Calgary While Konecny is fine, adding JVR instead of resigning Gaudreau is a massive mistake

Didn't bring in JVR to "replace" Gaudreau, and they can't control whether or not Gaudreau wants to re-sign

CGY will make it work to keep Gaudreau and Tkachuk. Both likely at $9.0M AAV with 5-7 years.

Mangiapane at $5.0M x 4-5 years, or $4.0M x 3 years.

Kylington at $3.25M x 3-4 years.

It’s very doable. Likely involves trading Monahan in a deal (likely off-season) that frees up $2.0M in cap space and then it works.
