Doesn't make a lot of sense for the Flames, why spend to move Pitlick who is getting paid under $2M? In the scenario Dube would already be 2.3M off the books long term, Pitlick would be better managed going somewhere for nothing on waivers than spending to move him.

Trade 1: Null

Trade 2: Doubt any team wants Paquette but if someone does ship him out ASAP

Trade 3: Perrault likely only gets a 5th at max

Trade 4: Instead of the third I would try to see what prospects they are flexible on, but If not the 3rd wouldn't be bad

Trade 5: I doubt calagry wants to give up Dube plus the rest of the deal, Dube is on a decent contact if he's able to find good consistency, Pitlick isn't really a dump for only 1.75. I don't think Calgary would do that but I'm not sure how fans see Dube.

Trade 6: That's a pretty cheap price to pay for Gallagher, I know his contract isn't good but I'm sure a team will pay more then that.

Trade 7: Yeah this is not happening, Very Wishful thinking.

Trade 8: If Pittsburg is in the Market for a PP guy with very Limited D then they might entertain a Hoffman trade but the Term might put them off as it's a year longer then Zucker's

Trade 9: It might happen but idk its an odd situation

Please try another team on Gally, because the Kings have nixed this trade 30-40 times on this site. Bad fit.

TB would have to put Katchouk or Raddysh on waivers to open the cap space so this would wind up being Katchouk/Raddysh and a 4 for Perrault.

If I were to guess most people are trading Gally to LA because Danault is there now, not because it makes sense as a fit for him.

Agreed, and your ex-GM, Gally would thrive on a team whose cup window closes in about 2-3 years, not one that opens around then. Danault is basically our two-way vet who will hold Kopitars role when he retires.

I haven't got to watch many LAK games (that MTL hasn't played in) but has Danault helped release Kopitar into a more offensive minded guy this year? Instead of Kopitar having to do everything for them?

Its a small sample size but I would say so, but more so his line of Iafallo and Kempe, who are noticeably improved and seeing more o-zone time. One two punch teams without depth struggle against us, much like how Montreal looked in the playoffs. Our possession metrics haven’t been this good in a really long time, nor our SOGs (though we have issues converting)

What’s really impressive about Danault is he’s helped defined our teams identity, the rebuild really pushed the compete out of our vets.. Players like him and Lemieux fight for every square inch of ice, and frustrate teams like no other, which has a cascade effect on the rest of the team. I don’t know how long it will last, but without his addition i don’t think we’d be in a playoff spot currently.

Don't know if I speak for all Flames fans, but that trade is a massive overpay. Dube has struggled a bit, but still a solid middle 6 forward and Zary is a top 3 prospect.

Id offer a 1st and Dube at the most.

Yeah I really didn't want to lose danault, but at the same time I wasn't on board for a longterm deal when we had Suzuki and KK. If I knew KK would've been gone I would've been full send on the Danault train, Sadly MB messed the team up real bad in his final 4 months or so

Trevor Moore is a middle-6 forward and Sean Durzi shows the promise of a top-4 RD. We wouldn't trade them for Gallagher even if you retained 50% and made the pick your 2022 second.

Rangers wouldn't trade Schneider for Lehkonen and a pick unless it was your 2022 first.
