There is no incentive for SEA to make this trade. Barrie isn't talented enough to drive a teams offense by himself. And Turris is expiring and washed up, and holds no long term value whatsoever.

Soucy & Driedger are both on team friendly deals, that at worst, would fetch much more if they wanted to move them.

Barrie value higher than Soucey. Turris is a cap balance for this year alone (very common in midseason trades)

Personally, I take Soucy @ 2.75 mil over Barrie @ 4.5 -- Different style players obviously. Yes Barrie has more offense- but not enough to tip the scales IMO.
Soucy's 2.75 mil for this & next season is very reasonable, even for a bottom pairing d-man with size.

Driedger isn't playing up to his contract, but SEA doesn't have a need to be dumping salaries at this point.
