I just don't understand Barrie to Seattle which has been a constant theme here lately. Seattle gets a guy who has 50% of his points in Edmonton on the PP, and 50% of his total point with the Oilers are 2nd assists. There is one GM in the league that sees that being worth 4.5M for 2 years and it's Holland. No body would be able to get Barrie to produce near his numbers in Edmonton. He's also on the wrong side of 30 for a D man that whose best asset is his skating. Oilers are either paying to get rid of him, riding it out or buying him out.

This guy provides offense and hey second assists are still points that led to a goal.

No one in North America is jealous of anyone in Edmonton regardless of hockey, let's settle that down.

Second assists lead to goals when you can chip the puck off the glass to McDavid or pass it to Draisaitl who then moves it to McDavid or vice versa, no one if going to pay Barrie 4.5M to move a puck to Eberle or Gourde and expect him to put up the same numbers. His value is highest in Edmonton, there is a reason no other GM was willing to give him big money or term last free agency. He was on pace for literal Norris Trophy number but no GM would give him over 4.5?? Go look at his CF and CA when McDavid is on the ice vs when he's not. Even look at McDavid's it tells a lot. The McDavid impact is real and could be effecting Barrie more than anyone
