Poorly I hope tears of joy...If you're just going off the way he broke it down, and neglect the Zucker trade entirely (Why would the Nucks want to add his cap hit when they could just get a 3rd or something for Halak and move on?), then it's:
-Decent 2 way winger (Kap) that tops out around 45 pts/82 games.
-Late 2nd round pick
-21 year old former 3rd rounder who isn't performing at the AHL level. (fringe NHLer-floor/mid 6-ceiling)

For:
1.25 years of a point per game player. If I'm Vancouver, that absolutely ain't it.

Thank you breaking it down. This isn’t the trade to get Miller. Sorry friend

Miller trade includes 2 of POJ, Poulin or 1st round pick and then a roster player
Halak includes a 3rd
Motte is a 2nd....

This is based on previous TDL deals

So....
Miller, Halak, Motte for
POJ
Kapanen
1st
2nd
4th

Honestly that's still not going to do it unless Allvin loves POJ. Penguins simply don't have a blue chip prospect to get Miller with. They could possibly do it in the offseason in a deal surrounding Miller for Marino.

very true, i am not even sure Marino is the man the Canucks need either.....truth be told I am not as familar with the Pens Prospects either, Poulin maybe?

I dont think Miller or Boeser end up there, I think Letang bolts in the off season and they need to keep POJ and Marino...

Halak I see thou

Ya I'm not sure Marino is the right fit for the Canucks either. Not for the acquisition price at least.

Poulin hasn't excelled yet he's more of a B prospect at this point.

I can definitely see Halak if he's willing to waive his NMC and I think the acquisition price will be really low given his bonus that the Canucks want to move and that Halak has full control on where he'd accept a trade to.

That's not happening from VAN, Miller is worth a lot more than that.

I don't think this is enough to get Miller, but I really like the idea. Kapanen could definitely be a part of it, but I think would require many more prospects and picks. POJ was one of Rutherfords favorite guys, but would probably have to take out Zucker and add a first round pick or something else.
