Ovi's value is really hard to gauge. The short answer is he's far more valuable to the caps than any other team. If he plays for a different team it's via FA signing, like Spezza, Thornton, Marleau.

If he was the same age as Marner I'd do that in a heartbeat, but even the greatest players are bound to slow down eventually. He has probably 2 years where he's better or equal to Marner, if that. After that, Marner is going to be the superior player. Not to mention the first round picks.
