Description
Tampa adds a good 2nd line F in Copp to help overall depth, plus adds a solid RD in Lyubushkin. Not sure on the values on his and the Foote trades, so thanks for any input there. Overall, this makes Tampa not only better offensive but more sound defensively in case of injury during the playoffs.

In this specific scenario, Tampa would be looking to move Foote for picks or futures that wouldn't add to their cap. It's the only way it will allow the team to be compliant after these trades.

Jets could likely get a first plus a better prospect from another team. plus another teams first is almost guaranteed to be higher than Tampa's

I like the trade for the jets. Also that 3rd line is looking good... the new Coleman-Gourde-Goodrow line.

Maybe, but for many teams looking for him(mostly contenders) he's going to be a straight rental most likely. If another team wants to give up a 1st and much better player/prospect(or more) so be it. However, it looks to be more of a buyers market this tdl due to the number of top/middle 6 forwards that may be available, so returns may not be as high as other deadlines. Tampa may get outbid here, but this
would likely be their best offer for Copp.
