Not sure how getting an older, worse player helps the Stars. Going to have to pass on that one.

So Nick Holden and a 6th for Soucy with 1M retained. I think a lot of teams jump on that kind of bargain

Canes would definitely jump on a 1 million retained Soucy. Francis isn’t a big player in the UFA market or a risk taker. Plenty of high dollar available at the expansion draft not taken because he doesn’t like risk. I doubt we would ever see Francis jump on 3 7+ million dollar UFAs in the same off-season. 1, maybe.

Sens JUST re-signed Nick Holden. He's playing great for them and he's a great presence to have with young guys. No chance they just move him to move him.

The signing could not be more fresh. Literally the most recent NHL signing. Feels like it’s barely been 2 days.

I wouldn’t mind adding Soucy at this cost at all but I think moving Holden now would be beyond bad business practice for Ottawa.

What is that Dallas trade??? Also no way Bergeron or Giroux go to Seattle unless they’re just looking for money. And in that scenario that isn’t enough money 👆
