This may just be the worst Chychrun trade I’ve seen. Arizona would have no interest in Drouin or Evans, and Armia is a cap dump. Romanov the only valuable piece to them

the only thing in that trade Arizona would want i Romanov, and he'd be the third most valuable thing you'd need to have in there

They can trade Armia and Drouin for assets

Or they can get much better assets for Chychrun. Armia will probably cost the Habs a pick to trade. Drouin is alright but doesn’t have that much value. A more realistic Habs offer would be Caufield, Romanov/Guhle, and a 1st

You mean you hope they don't get a top pairing defenseman for a bunch of junk and Romanov?

It has nothing to do with the player. Clearly he is a very high level player. But in Montreals prospect pool, players getting close to NHL ready….we are deepest at the LHD.

So if they are trading those assets it would be better looking at different positions

Understandable and completely makes sense.

Armia might actually interest them in a separate trade. They need players under contract and a guy that can insulate prospects and move around in the lineup would be a good fit. His cap hit isn't too high for a team that doesn't have many dollars invested, or too long that it interferes with the signing of said prospects.
