I don’t see why we’d move Evans. Lehkoken and Toffolli both should be made available. Dowd and Hathaway coming back is fine as both would be dumps but we’d need that 4th to be a 3rd and a b grade prospect or a 2nd

There's just not enough there for 3 players Montreal might not even want to move. It's probably going to take an overpay for Evans. Should take an overpay for Lehkonen. Toffoli is probably only worth moving for the "right" prospect and a high pick (don't think that's Leason).

Why? We have $12M+ in goaltending already and their substitutes are helping the tank. All part of the plan. How else do you explain Montembault?

So Evans equals a second and b prospect
Toffoli equals lappy and 3rd, 1mil retained
Atrrui equal a first

I don't think it's worth trading for Evans honestly. He's good, but there are other options that could be had cheaper and provide (more or less) similar performance.

Lehkonen you're in the ballpark. I always say he's worth a 2nd, but it's going to take more than that to actually get him. Whether that's a 1st, add a prospect, or add another pick, is debatable.

Toffoli you're on the low side including retention. Montreal will not (or should not) need to retain to get a decent return for him. I'd say Lap and a 2nd with a contract coming back is the template.
If you don't have a contract you want to drop, the 3rd might work, but I think Montreal takes a similar offer with a contract and a 2nd if they have a choice between two offers.

The reason for evans is a person who gives it there all every single night, who do you have in mind

Can't argue with that, but do Dowd and Eller not have the bottom 6C well covered?
Bonino and Glendening come to mind. Not sure about acquisition cost, but it's almost definitely less than Evans.
