Description
Building on my reasonable TDL plan posted earlier
we now work on our offseason plan to compete in 22/23
we sign Barabanov if Washington doesn't resign him and Elliot to replace Reimer.
resign the core players and sign Bordeleau.
Draft Geekie at 10 OA.
with Eklund in the lineup we now have a decent top 6
Bordeleau becomes our 3C and Balcers and Labanc give him solid wings who can support him and help him with his transition to the NHL.
Bonino, Nieto, Weathrby, Gregor, Leonard, Pederson, Chmevelski, Reedy, Raska and Viel all compete for 4th line and healthy scratches
Bonino is either C or LW and a lock to play because of his defense and PK, Nieto should get the advantage due to his experience PK ability, Raska and weatherby are the heirs to Bonino and Nieto and will be locks in 23 but here i have them playing in the AHL this season.
Reedy adds Right hand shot and some offensive upside so he gets the nod.
the dark horse is Gregor who I have liked his game and love the speed he brings but he is just snake bitten offensively.
Leonard, Pederson, and Chmevelski i feel get passed up on the depth chart and will end up being AHL tweeners like Blichfeld.
Viel is a future 13th forward added for grit against tough opponents.

the 4th line is fluid and i feel all the players mentioned will get a few NHL games next year and whoever excels steal the spots.

D is self explanatory, Vlasic buy out is much more palatable next year than this year, and we have Middleton as a safety net for inures or further regression from Vlasic.

Goal-tending will make or break our season.
Either Hill matures and becomes the full time starter and Elliot is a decent spot starter or we are in trouble.
Either way Gaudreau is the Heir apparent but is 2-3 years from NHL and 3-4 from NHL starter.

The only issue here is locking up Timo long term if his 90 point pace continues, but moving Labanc and the likely Vlasic buyout makes it reasonable

Vlasic will be bought out in 23 off-season where its far more palatable than this year, and that should give us 3 mil to put toward Meier who i expect his next deal to be 8-9.5 mil.
if he has another 90 point season next year 9.5 if he regresses a bit i assume 8 mil for 8 years. My hope is Labanc rebounds and make him more tradable, either way Coe or Robins will be gunning for his spot sooner than later.
and Eklund and Bordeleau next deal will be from Burns contract expiring.

Looks great! I think we pretty much agree on most things.

I think at the moment Reimer's super valuable to the team, I think at his cap hit, I hold on to him unless it's a 1st coming back. One thing I'd like to see, though I don't know how realistic it is, is for Burns to be moved in the offseason too and for DW to bring in a more defensive RHD guy like Manson Severson or even Hakanpaa. EK65 and Merks will provide the offense but it'd be ideal to get younger, cheaper, and have more defense on the back end.
