LA is not interested in giving up quality assets for rental defensemen.

The Rangers wouldn't trade that package for Nick Suzuki, and I doubt that they'd trade that package for Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.

St. Louis is comfortably in a playoff spot, and it would take a serious slump to fall out of that position, so I can't see why they would pay a first for Artturi Lehkonen.

Drouin is no longer worth a first-round draft pick.

I don't think that Chiarot is worth a first, but let's assume that he'll get that from someone. That leaves Gabe Vilardi for Rem Pitlick and the 65th overall pick. Enough said.

Blues won't pay a first for lehkonen to play on their 4th line. We don't need more forwards.

Schneider isn’t getting moved. If it’s a RD it’s gonna be Lundkvist.

Still can’t see us moving that much for Toffoli unless there was retention. We’d have a tough time even affording this.

We could take back a contract. Which one?

Probably Nemeth. It’s the only movable contract we have. Assuming Montreal isn’t on his NTC.

I’ve really got to learn to stop looking at these Montreal trades. They’re all so lopsided for Montreal that I can’t tell if the author is being satirical or not.
