If we’re moving zadina it won’t be based off of current play but potential. I would want a similarly high draft pick around the same age with the same high potential, otherwise I just don’t see the point of moving him because at most he’d net a late 1st.

Sharks probably don’t move Balcers. Cheap and has another year left before becoming an RFA. Barabanov could be moved. He’s been in a top 6 roll all year and has played really well. Makes a lot happen on the ice with his skill. Producing .60 ppg at only $1 mil cap hit. I think he will cost a bit, I would be asking minimum 2nd and another piece. The cap hit to point production ratio is just too good to not get a great return.

Max Comtois, Gabe Vilardi, Cole Caufield and Alexis Lafreniere all have something in common, in my opinion: they were all expected to be top-line forwards (albeit at different levels, of course) but so far have failed to reach that potential. (Another youngster on your list -- Jesse Puljujarvi -- was in a similar position a season or so ago, but seems to have elevated his game enough to be fulfilling his expectations.) I think that their respective teams aren't going to give up on them just yet.

I’ve always thought Puljujarvi isn’t the type of winger that fits with McDavid or Draisaitl. If Carolina calls and offers Jarvis and Morrow I’d accept.

Beaus a tough one , he’s such a big part of what the isles do and one of the only forwards the isles have with elite skating ability. I would think his value is something like a 1st , 2nd + Drury if you’re asking for 2 mill retained, but it doesn’t make sense for the isles because they plan to compete next season and trading a top 6 forward in his prime isn’t a good idea.

I think it’s interesting that beauvillier would have that much value with the production he has had. Kevin Labanc has had similar production on a very similar contract and many seem to think he isn’t worth more than a 3rd if anything

Beauvillier's points per 60 min are significantly higher than Labanc's from 2019-21. Beauvillier's underlying numbers are also much better. Barry Trotz rolls 4 lines so only looking at counting stats can be misleading, Beauvillier's impact over the last 3 seasons has been that of a fringe 1st line winger.

2019-20 season Goals above replacement:
Beauvillier: 11.6 GAR
Labanc: -2.5 GAR

Wins above replacement:
Beauvillier: 2.1 WAR
Labanc: -0.4 WAR

2020-21 season
Beauvillier: 8.4 GAR, 1.5 WAR
Labanc: 2.4 GAR, 0.4 WAR

Beauvillier has gotten off to a slow start this season but he's only 24 YO and he has a large sample size of being a high end top 6 guy.

Yeah I see that, I’m not trying in anyway to say Labanc is worth the same. When Labanc has been with quality players he has played well. He was with 40 y.o. Joe Thornton and Meier and put up 56 points on the 3rd line. Since then he’s been with much inferior players and put on the 4th line which isn’t his style of play at all. I would love for labanc to get a shot at the upper lines I feel like he could be like Beauvillier.

There is a good chance Zadina doesn't get traded this season and he won't be traded before Vrána gets back and returns to form.

yeah I was just trying to show Beauvillier's value to the isles, he has been their 2nd best forward behind barzal over the last 3 years. One of the most clutch playoff performers too.

I like Labanc, he's a good possession winger and he drives play offensively at a pretty high level. I agree that he deserves to play in a more offensive role, I would love for the isles to trade him to play with Nelson and Beauvillier on the 2nd line lol.

Zacha - better as LW. More offensive as winger. Doesn’t lead a rush, but is great as 2nd or 3rd guy into zone at the end of a rush. As a center, he doesn’t get up the ice all that much. His playing time is probably a 90/10 LW/C nowadays although he’ll take some draws. Was great last year and first part of this year on Nico’s LW, but is currently in a slump.

It’s not that I’m willing to trade him. But if we were I don’t think you can go wrong with Jarvis and Morrow. If hypothetically Jarvis and Holloway were both available at 14 in 2020 I think Jarvis would be an Oiler and JP would have probably been traded (most likely to Carolina).

Wasn’t saying that’s the offer for everyone on this list. Carolina would probably value JP slightly higher just because of TT and Aho. They have a thing for Fins.

With those Finns, who can blame them. They did trade us a Finn, Kuokkanen (for Vatanen, another Finn)

Puljujarvi actually fits well with McDavid, he creates chaos and McDavid feeds off chaos. Look at their scoring rates when together...

I'm SUPER torn on your trade proposal. Jarvis was my hard target for the draft from early on, I really like the player. But when Puljujarvi figures out how to use his body, he's gonna be a BEAST out there, especially in the playoffs. I'm not sure Morrow tips the scales enough for me, but it's close.
