I think we should go for Manson man. 1st and a prospect like Abramov or someone can get that done and hes a defensive dman that can play with muzzin
Gio to me brings qualities we need. Leadership (won the Messier trophy), skill (won the Norris), plays more than 20mins a night consistently, can QB power play unit 2 and be a solid member of our PK. Plus he knows and has played with Brodie and together those 2 in Calgary were amazing.

Like imagine
Gio-Brodie
Muzzin-Rielly
Sandin-Holl
PP Units
Nylander-Tavares-Matthews
Rielly-Marner
Mikheyev-Bunting-Kase
Gio-Spezza
PK Units
Kampf-Marner
Giordano-Brodie
Kerfoot-Kase
Muzzin-Holl
Muzzin Rielly doesn't work. They already have tried it, and they hated it. Muzzin cant play the right side period, while Rielly is kinda bleh at it. Also, Rielly Brodie have been really really good this season. Itll just offset the work theyve done if you break them up. Gio is a great choice to bring in, but unless he can play the right side, it's really not feasible then.

The Muzzin-Rielly pair was actually fine. The only reason it was split up was Babcock being an old school backwards coach. He wanted LD to play LD and RD to play RD, he only made one exception and that was for Dermott (mainly due to no better options). Keefe on the other hand is more forward thinking and has shown to not be afraid of putting players on their offside. For instance Keefe occasionally has put Muzzin-Rielly on the ice from time to time with little to no issue being seen. Could see it coming back and being an effective duo with Muzzins defensive skills and Rielly's puck carrying skills. As in general, modern coaches dont care for that now and play Dman sometimes on their non strong side for most if not an entire season and Rielly has admitted he does not mind playing RD as we have seen from his play he will shot from either side and almost everywhere on the ice.
And if you want more
This year Muzzin-Rielly has been used by Keefe for 35 of the Leafs 42 games this season in certain situations (All found on Natural Stat Trick)
Giordano makes sense in the off-season IMO, he's older and a Toronto boy. He could come sign on a cheap deal and solidify our pairings if we decide to move on from Muzzin.
LOL WHAT IS THAT CHIAROT TRADE????????????????????????? He is barely worth a first, let alone a blue chip prospect too. Stop
Wait….when did Robertson become a blue chip prospect lol?!?!
Habs would accept this offer but let’s not call Nick a blue chip prospect please. Every team has prospects like him
