Ok np but when the jets run into the same issue with their lack of puck movement on the back end don’t complain.

Jets have Schmidt, Pionk, Heinola, and Chisholm who are all puck movers, Demelo is the only consistent defensive defender.

All are below average minus Pionk. Y’all don’t get it the new NHL requires everyone to be able to move the puck. You can’t have dedicated puck mover on a pair. It’s why Jets still play chip and chase hockey in 2022.

Then why do you want DeMelo if he's not the future of hockey......

Yeah I'd happily trade DeMelo for that, would try to flip Dermott as we have enough LHD.

Because he provides something we need which is a defensive dman as every dman on our pairs can move the puck and Dermott is 7th dman when he’s easily 5-6 on other teams. Winnipeg needs puck movement from the back end. I even paid a premium to get him.

There's no incentive there for Winnipeg to downgrade from an RHD they need to a worse LHD they don't need.

Leafs like the Arizona deal But the more expensive DeMelo is not an improvement over Dermot. In what world is DeMelo better than Holl. Easy pass by Leafs...maybe if Jets 50%

Jets have little use for Dermont, he doesn't bring top caliber puck movement nor is he a defensive guy
