Kase is going to hold out for arbitration and get more than that. Sandin's starting comparable is basically what Dermott is making now, only he's been better than Dermott was before signing that contract.

I think those are fair critiques. There is money left to fit both under the cap. However this was meant mainly to emphasize the squeeze the Leafs will be facing when it comes to filling out the roster.

Both Holl and Engvall are worth keeping over moving them for such paltry returns. Holl right now is the 4th best defenceman on the team. Guys playing much much worse are getting talked up being worth 1st rounders plus. The nonsense on this site.

20 man roster...impractical. Giving away Engvall and Holl...not wise. Leafs won't be carrying over 8m in goalies. Either Mrzarek is traded (I don't think so) or Campbell resigns (I don't think so)
