Trying to be fair as possible

Created by: Hockey247
Team: 2021-22 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 6, 2022
Published: Feb. 6, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I'll have a bias because I am a fan of the team, thus fans of a team tend to overvalue their players. i tried to make these trades fair as possible and made them based on what is being said about these players from various insiders and shows such as elliotte friedman, chris johnston, david paignotta, jeff marek, eric engels, etc.
Trades
1.
MTL
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (FLA)
  2. 2023 1st round pick (FLA)
FLA
  1. Chiarot, Ben ($1,750,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Panthers are in the hunt for a deep run. I don't think they'll land klingberg as the stars look like they're asking a lot and chychrun would require someone like lundell and knight to acquire which would be deft fpr the panthers to trade.
2.
MTL
  1. 2022 5th round pick (VAN)
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
canucks need a Pker. lehkonen provides that and is still young
3.
MTL
  1. Chytil, Filip
  2. Lundkvist, Nils
  3. Nemeth, Patrik
  4. 2022 1st round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
rangers get a 20-25 goal scorer signed at a very good deal and a depth d-man for a playoff run for a 1st rd pick, a very good prospect in lundkvist and a question mark in chytil and they get rid of nemeth and his cap

Canucks aren't moving a 2nd, you'll have to find a different team.

The only unfair trade is Toffoli
FLO trade is unfair but realistic

I thought you had to be at least 13 years old to be have an account. Really gonna start throwing temper tantrums lmao. These trades aren’t good. Vancouver isn’t trading away picks for a fourth liner

NYR has been tied to Lehkonen i think thats the deal you make
Toffoli stays IMO

We moved Chucky's Mentor and linemate Eller
Since that move Chuckys yet to score 20 goals in a season since
His progress just nose dived and his Defensive side got bad as did his turnovers

We just signed Suzuki longterm
Not worth the risk IMO

VAN has no real need for any of our players unless we're selling Poehling cheap
What they need to upgrade on we cant help them with unless we're buying
They're not due for a long rebuild like us but they're not likely going to all survive the TDL either with this new Regime

suzuki?

Sorry "not worth the risk moving Toffoli IMO"
He's been Suzuki's Mentor and i like the dynamic of that 1-2 punch
Caufield is a great fit for them on PP
Issue is 5v5 that line needs a net front presence
Gally and Anderson havent produced well with Suzuki but have else where
Finding a way to upgrade Armia i think would help a lot more then moving out Toffoli

Leaders like Gally,Toffoli and Anderson are ideal for our Youth
We can also build their value til their pending UFA's and still profit if we want
Armia on the other hand his value will only decline even if his play doesnt (his speed that defines his offense will fade)
Drouin you try to move for the same reasons whether its this year or next years TDL

You're right there was
Although i wouldnt have done it in theory
That's an offer i wouldnt have refused either
Its just so sad he loved MTL so much and his Family isnt happy but get its business
Woulda been nice to keep

But Heineman is awesome find 3rd year Pro at 20 in SHL about 2 years away from being ready on our timeline for rebuild
Picks are great
Pitlicks a cap dump that could work out if he and his brother get a rivalry going in house lol

i wouldn't either, but after chiarot, he was our most tradeable asset. next has to be someone like hoffman, petry, kulak, armia, lehkonen. maybe even drouin.

Kulak ,Lehkonen will be this year
Hofman,Armia and Savard wont be moveable until atleast next year if not the year after(better to sell them as UFA's if no good offers)
Byron i feel will get traded next year to a contender then return to MTL like Plekanec did(getting us a 2nd and what would become Kulak)
Drouin its 50/50 cant say until he plays for MSL

IF he comes out like Caufield did
Who knows maybe he's here on a 2-3 year deal rather then traded

I feel Gally is safe regardless of media specualtion he said he doesnt want to leave and management said he's a core leader for their youth core
Petry i feel like we wont get a good enough offer so we'll keep him and he'll want to stay as he's thriving under MSL(restrictions will losen or have 7/10 odds i say in 2022)
Dvorak you cant move at a loss, he needs a rebound season and plays well with Anderson and Drouin (Them only though which is hard with 1/3 being out most of the season now)

Only real X Factor here is Jake Allen
He'll be a pending UFA next year but i know for a fact he will re-sign
I golf with his Uncle and he's so happy to be close to home in NB,he's won a Cup now he wants to be part of MTL's 25th
He wont beg but if they offer him a deal he'll smile and sign

Its hard to say as MSL still hasnt truly implemented his System
He's slowly changing things as to not throw off the team mid season

i was reading somewhere that Gally and Anderson are on the habs do not trade list. imo that makes sense. they're more valuable to us than to other teams. plus their cap hits make them tough to trade.

Andersons safe as no one's paying that and we cant RS that long
That said he's a great player so its not like he's bad he's just about 1-1,25m over paid
Not the end of the world but makes trading with Term interesting

Gally had teams and took his time to get to know and see if he liked the new management
He seems happy saying he'll do anything and play anywhere that MTL is his home
I got the feeling he was informed he'll be the Next Captain in the Future as his "losing Culture" comments he kept
Saying they had to learn how to get past went away (he was saying that after the 5th of 10 straight loses

Gally is a great Leader just needs a strong A forward to deal with Refs for him is all
Thats where Toffoli leaving hurts but it gives the chance to give Suzuki his Training wheels with the A behind Gally
Then Eventually like Thorton or Brown did for Pavelski or Kopitar

Too Much pressure to soon
He will be one day soon but MTL fans turn on Players REALLY Quick (see Petry,Pacioretty,Subban, ext)
He needs 2-3 year window to learn how to be a leader organically in order not to split his focus
Remember Patches after the Captaincy? his offense dropped but he became a better over all player and tried being a good Captain
But he took social media attacks really personally

Im VERY Cautious with Cole ,Alex and Nick
They're our Future
