You could add a 3rd or der argechunstev for chiarot

Lehky will get more, switch ranta for barron

Pretty good value for toffoli, except you can get kravtsov instead of Gauthier

You could probably switch the 3rd to a 2nd in the dallas trade, but I won't complain

    Otherwise pretty good.
Pleasantly surprised that it was. @GMs who created this.
This was almost spot on values, good job.

    Dallas counters

To MTL: Benn, Lindell, Khudobin, $100 Gift card to Moxie’s

To DAL: Caufield extended and 50% retained, all draft picks for the next 3 years.

NYR would pass on this package let alone adding Kravs.

You couldn’t get Barron straight up for Lehkonen. Period.

If Montreal picks 4th this year IMO, they have to pick one of Wright, Cooley, Lambert, or Savoie, they're all simply better players than the rest of the top 10.

I'm not retaining on Toffoli period, but ... This is basically Lundkvist and a 2nd for Toffoli, with Nemeth to offset cap, which is fair.
Upgrading that 2nd to a 1st + Gauthier for the retention isn't necessary. We can get a similar package elsewhere without retention and we don't need to lock up a spot to maximize return on Toffoli.

Everything else is more or less within reason. Of course you know people will disagree because Petry is suddenly a one-legged zombie and every prospect is a younger McDavid, but in the real world the values are close enough.

Arizona trade is the most controversial perhaps.
A 2nd for Weber's contract is a good financial/business move. People can't evaluate it from a hockey perspective.
You're selling a 2nd round pick for up to $24M, which is insane value for a 2nd, money wise.

Edit: forgot to mention I have Jiribek before Nemec, but my goal if don't get 1st overall, is to trade down and select Jiribek then the BPA (hopefully a C).

Why would ARI pay a 2nd for getting to the cap floor when they can get picks for taking on a cap dump?

And no, Petry unretained is not worth a prospect drafted in the 1st round and an additional pick.

The rest of the trades look fair tho.

But the good thing is the team acquiring Petry wouldn’t be fleeced, Petry will bounce back right away and it’s gonna end up a fair trade IMO

I agree that a Petry trade has the potential to become a win-win situation, but with his age, it's hard to say whether this is just a down year or if it's the start of a decline.

It’s not like there’s no reason why he has a down year
Wife & kids back in Michigan since Christmas
Waiting for a 4th kid but he isn’t there, instead he plays for the worse team in the league in a province where you can’t do **** because of sanitary conditions
