I could see NSH considering that deal -- gives them some LHD depth at a reasonable price.

LA, NYR, and FLA almost certainly pass.

I understand why but I think there's something good in these trades for both teams. They certainly have to negotiate & the return could decrease ... but it's not that far from their value ont he actual market IMO

Sean Durzi looks like he's going to be a top-4 defenseman, and might even be a significant power-play member. We'll be hanging on to him for a while, and it's not clear that we have any interest in Jeff Petry at all -- he's in the twilight of his career and I don't think that we're willing to take the risk that he revives his career.

mtl may be able to get one of those pieces for petry, i'm doubtful, but no way they get both.

I think Tippett is falling out of favor, so that could be reasonable.

The other two are just miles and miles away.

He will be great again. his family stays in Detroit & the Montreal Canadiens are horrible, we have our 3-4 goalies in our lineup & edmundson isn't here

A 34 year old right shot defenseman signed to 24-25, for a team stacked on the right side who just finished a rebuild trying to get younger. You have to at least give it a second thinking about the other team here.
