Could be interesting but FLA 1st round is more like a 2nd round so MTL should try to get Dallas or Nashville 1st round instead.
Also, I'm not a big fan of Owen Tippett, but he's only 22 yrs old ...

More like retain 50%, take out the first, take out Tippett.

He’s having an off season… he’s still a Norris finalist defenseman with 3 years left at a reasonable cap hit. He’s worth a lot

Florida isn’t doing this. They don’t want that cap hit for a soon to be 35 year old for the next 3 seasons. They would have no chance of signing Huberdeau to an extension. They could get a younger Chychrun for those assets, and he has a better contract.
