Surprised there isn't a turnip coming to Ottawa with those radishes.

McDonagh says No. So, that eliminates the Detroit trade.
Lehkonen isn't worth a 1

As bad as so many Canadians fans are poor at making Habs trade, now they are doing to other teams. In what world does McDonagh leave his Cup champion team in Tampa for Detroit?

Doesn’t make any sense for Detroit or McDonagh. Rebuilding teams don’t trade for guys that don’t fit their window and McDonagh leaves a contender while making less at the same time.

They won't have to bother asking him since Detroit would say no

I do think Alnefelt will be a good goalie but Detroit traded for Nedeljkovic and drafted Cossa this offseason. So there isn't really a need for him. Jack Finley is a big center but with McDonagh's cap hit it isn't worth a good young RHD.

McDonagh is not waving to goto Detroit. If he did no way Yzerman is taking on a 32 yo defensman who is signed until he is 37 at over 6 million. Wings will need cap space in coming years for Larkin, Bertuzzi, Seider, Raymond and Hronek. Alnefelt has had a bad year in the Ahl and even when he went to ECHL. Wings have Ned who is young and Cossa, so taking on a goalie who is having a bad year makes no sense. Finley's is a nice piece but not nice enough to trade fro McDonagh and give up Hronek.

Everyone said the same about Goodrow and Coleman. Seemed to work out really well for Tampa.

I don’t think the Raddysh boys quite equate to Nolan Foote if you use the Blake Coleman trade as a comparable. Especially when you take into account that Brown is the better player and they’d be acquired for the exact same term and cap hit.

Lehkonen is not Coleman, besides look what TB has done despite not having their best 2 fowards and their best RD more than half the season.
Katchouk s analytics are good actually, and if you want to make the Goodrow Coleman comparison tell me the roster player Brisebois shipped out in either deal.

Honestly I think Taylor is better right now
and is going to be better than Foote ,he seems to have the same problem his brother has, can't skate worth s***.

Lehkonen's numbers are better than Coleman's pre-trade.

Coleman was also a 2x 20 goal scorer and Brisebois didn't trade off the active roster
