Glue guy, 2 years at under a million per, I think that's a good deal for STL.

Anybody who thinks this is a bad signing is just straight trippin'. An extremely underrated player, especially at this bargain bin cap hit. Honestly, I figured he would not be back because someone would give him a raise. I underestimated how much players love STL and how much Bortz loves this group. Fantastic signing, even if he only holds this level for one of the two seasons.

Bortuzzo has been good this year (as always), so this contract is a good way to keep him locked up on the Blues’ bottom pair until retirement.

I guess it's worth more to him to stay in St. Louis. Logan Brown also signed a dirt cheap one-year extension today. It kinda makes me think Army has something up his sleeve for the TDL. Like he's telling the boys, hey help me out right quick and I'll see you get a ring (or in Bortz's case, another ring).

Overall he's very great on the PK when he actually wants to play D. Offensively no really anything good, but under a mil per is something I can get behind for a couple years.

They're simply not allowed to talk. Neither is Bortuzzo. The only one in the league who can talk about giving dirty cheap shots is The Rat, Brad Marchand

Well, he's not like an offensive weapon, to be sure, but his transition puck movement is quite underrated and he pinches in the zone very well. So don;t expect many points, but he does help the offense run pretty decently for a defensive specialist 3D.

In a vacuum, this is perfect for your 7th dman. Still, Perunovich will need a spot, and having to share playing time with Bortuzzo AND Walman could hurt his development. (Then again, Bortuzzo could be sent to the minors without taking up cap space, so maybe they gave him this salary with that in mind.)

He's got better over the years, and is not as dirty anymore. But we don't talk about last night...

Walman is not in the regular group. And Bortuzzo's spot is definitely safer than Scandella's. Bortuzzo plays pretty much every night, not sure why people think otherwise.
