Really hope Keith gets the net with the Marlies next year. I’m a fan of Kallgren and what he has done this year, not so much for Woll.

I’d like a Petruzzelli / Kallgren duo next year

I have finally, after a month and a half, finished scouting all players who have an average under 100 per my formula ( some players though are not ranked because I didn't have enough info ), I will review my ranking and then post it so expect it soon. ( there were 114 players with an AVG of under 100, 68 I had enough info to rank ) Also keep in mind that since it took me a month and a half to do the list, some players did not have their more recent performances factored in when i finished their profile ( re: Slafkovsky's Olympics especially )

Is it just me or is Canes fans comparing prospect Scott Morrow to one of the best dman in the league Cale Makar a little extreme?

That's how the NHL works lol, why not compare Power to Makar as well? Lol, or Quinn to Rantanen.

Considering he is playing the same role on the same team just a few years later, I think it’s a fair comparison to make.

Ivan Miroshnichenko a prospect eligible for the 2022 Draft who has had an up and down season has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Not expected to play next season

Also probs not gonna get drafted this year either

Poor kid

Makars 1st NCAA season he only had 0.62P/GP

Does that mean Luke Hughes, Sean Behrens, Ryan Ufko, Corson Ceulemans, Jack Peart, etc will all be better than Makar? Cant wait until Makar is the 10th best D man in the league in a couple years when all these guys make the NHL

I criticised him a lot and he shouldn't have been in the Top 15 of anyone in the last few months, but I think he's going to get drafted nevertheless. He has the raw talent and even if it's just a late round gamble, he'll probably get drafted. At least as long as it doesn't get worse. Like if they say he likely won't play Hockey at that level again (really hoping that doesn't happen), then I could see him not getting drafted. But if it stays the way it is right now with the real possibility that he returns to Hockey, I think he'll get drafted.

Dont think teams are gonna draft him this year now that hes undergoing blood cancer treatment and wont play in 2022-2023. I think he will be drafted in 2023 as an overage candidate for rounds 5-7 once they know for sure he will be able to play again.

If you have a 7th and no one really fell from prior rounds, you should take a swing on him imo. The chance of him being an NHLer is a lot higher than that of your average 7th rounder, even with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

I would definitely use a 2nd round pick on him this year. If he's taken in the 3rd or later it's a huge steal. GMs have used a 4th on Mitch Miller and a 1st on Logan Mailloux, surely they'll be willing to draft him this year. If he beats cancer he'll be way better than anyone else in the 3rd or later almost guaranteed.

can we please sign Marcus Karlberg to a contract

I've watched a good bit of film of this kid. i like his speed and wrist shot. He may be woefully undersized (5'7", 165 lbs) but on this team that doesn't really matter, we specialize in short kings in this organization (Cam Atkinson can be on my hockey team any day, Trey Fix-Wolansky has torn the AHL apart, Nathan Gerbe earned the captaincy in Cleveland).

Also i don't like the look of drafting a guy with a 3rd round pick and then not signing him.

I know the feeling of wasted 3rd round picks, or missed picks. Think this one qualifies as both 🤦‍♂️

Eh, if the player sucks, don't sign him, teams have let players drafted in every round not signed, any not round 1 pick is more or less of a magic bean too
