avs ranked 19th after graduating byram and newhook. also trading away barron and helleson. i think the avs should be lower.

Montreal 24th despite having Primeau, Dobes (.934 NCAA) , Dichow (Denmark OG, WC)

Nice pickup. Was the MVP of the 2020/21 MHL Playoffs for MHK Dynamo Moskva before moving to Finland, where he put up some solid numbers (2.67/.902)

He’ll be a great piece for the islanders in a Josh Bailey trade 😉

Serious question should Toronto trade down in this draft

Our 1st is gonna be a late one and based on Dubas 2nd round draft history is it worth trading that low 1st and getting 2 2nds from a team like Chicago who dont have one (based on Nashville Carolina trade last draft)

As sure getting Kulich would be nice

But if we play our cards right we could walk out of the round 2 with Ivan Miroshnichenko and with the other 2nd trade down again for more picks.

Don't think I'll ever forgive Tom Fitzgerald passing on Stankoven, Zellweger and Pastujov for frikkin Chase Stillman smh

I think so.
Dubas's team seems to be one of the most proficient in finding value in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
They should always be looking for opportunities to trade down.

Agreed, as lets say Dubas goes to Chicago and gives them our 1st for both their 2nds (basing this on the Nashville Carolina trade last draft).

Chicago's 2nd is a high 2nd which means Dubas can walk away with a 1st round talent who just dropped out for various reasons like Ivan Miroshnichenko or something like that. From there he can take other 2nd and trade down and get a 3rd and 4th and continue the cycle.

Like if the 1st was higher I would use it but because its gonna be a very low one just trade it and get more draft picks unless there is a player you really want and you dont think hes around later

Depends who Toronto wants to target but it could definitely be a smart move

I am mixed, there could be a really good player that the Leafs could get at the 25 range but I agree with the logic of trading back and adding a another pick. With only 3 picks it would be the smarter play but I have a feeling one or both of Kerfoot or Holl will be moved for picks.

I believe based on point totals Toronto will have the 28th OA pick or whatever (per Tankathon and What a Draft) but it could be higher (24 or 25) but it doesnt matter as to make things simple its a low first.

Now Kerfoot and Holl could be moved for picks agreed. But I feel Dubas may try to do more player based trades with them

One of Buffalo or Arizona should try to nab all of Lekkerimaki, Ohgren and Ostlund just for the fun of it.

This counted as a goal, what is goalie interference again 🤷‍♂️

The puck goes 5 hole before the contact and I don't think the goalie's able to stop it from going in, with or without contact so it doesn't really matter that contact happened

Also 10k posts for me

Pretty hard to tell from that angle it was going in. Need to protect goalies, especially with a guy skating full speed into you.

Congrats on the 10K 👊

Why would you ever need a generational goalie talent when you can just have some more grit?

No honestly, I think Fitz has done great so far but drafting really doesn't seem to be his strongest area.
That's one department where Shero's probably a lot stronger in.

Howdy again folks!

Not your typical prospect post, but I'm a GM in the GM Game, and I'm looking for some draft help for the 22 draft and the 23 draft. (15th OA this year, 2 1sts next season, lots of prospects in the pipeline)

What I'm looking for
- Advice on moving some pieces (Brock Boeser)
- Draft Advice for the 22 and 23 drafts
- Advice on Prospect Potential in trades within the GM Game

If you're interested, you can reply on the Buffalo Sabres team page in the GM Game, or message me on twitter if you have one (in the description of the Buffalo Team Page)

Some notable prospects traded away (UPL, Rosen, Johnson, Poltapov)

Some notable prospect acquisitions (Kidney, Kerins)

Cheers

Dahlin and Samuelson are gone. But power is still there that left side is no more.
