Leafs have:
Ryan O'Connell LD (Ohio State)
Axel Rindell RD (Karpat)

Needing contracts or they will become UFA’s.

Anyone know their teams prospects needing contracts

Habs only have Jacob Olofsson before the first cut-off, however, Jordan Harris and a couple others expire on August 15

I only know of Blake McLaughlin who'll need a contract but the Ducks will have bit more time (until mid August) since he's a NCAA player.

I wonder what MIN will do with Filip Johansson. If he goes unsigned Minnesota would get the 56th OA pick in 2022, last time this happened was in 2016 with Conner Bleackley (23rd OA). I’m guessing at this point they take the pick

Knowing how good TBL are with developing, I’m sure he will make out to be a useful bottom 6 player 😂

Can you explain this one? Why do they get a pick?

Harris is probably one of the biggest names this would apply to. And Jack McBain because I think he’s in the same boat? Not totally sure though.

Forgot his father was so close to Putin, so I guess it isn’t the greatest example, but I’m glad you share the sentiment.

Being a Haas fan, I just want them to decide quickly so they can focus on driving, whether its Fittipaldi, Mazepin, or anyone else in the seat come Bahrain.

Look on the bright side, this is probably the quickest way they were gonna be able to cut ties with Mazespin as a driver, and him not being in the car is a great thing for Haas.

If you do not sign your 1st round pick and let his rights expire, you will get a complimentary pick exactly 1 round later ( only applies to 1st rounders and was made a rule after the Cherepanov incident i think )

Both probs not getting contracts. Rindell was close but he could not carry the momentum he has when he joined Karpat.

So there would be 33 not 32 2nd Round picks in 2022?

The punishment of Russian athletes for the actions of their countries is literally the definition of racism

this is wrong. and it would be one thing if the country wasnt launching missiles at another country and invading. this is literally how ww2 started with germany invading poland. bet everyone was defending the hell out of germany and any one german there.

The hypocrisy is real, especially as the Olympics take place in a country that is literally committing a genocide on the Uyghurs and their athletes were allowed to compete.

Only way it would work is too ban them from putting the money in those banks that the Russia's operate.

While it is unfair that the athletes are punished because of their countries actions, so far, it all makes sense

Russian athletes aren’t launching missiles. What would be fair as far as the sports world is concerned is to do the OAR thing the Olympics do. Not banning all Russian athletes

OAR/ROC doesn't change anything, you want to hurt Russia, you ban them, Russians still consider an ROC/OAR medal as a Russian one, it doesn't change anything, it's a hollow measure, you want to do something about it, you ban them, as unfair as it is for the players, it's the right move to ban them from international comps
