Pull-ups don't mean much I'd like to know what hockey motion needs good pull up skills, at least stuff like the dash, bike test, vertical, etc are related to a hockey motion/a hockey skill

Professional athletes should still be able to do a pull up. As an average guy it looks like I can do more pull-ups than most of the draft guys.

I need Ottawa (or whoever they trade the #7 to) to take Geekie or Gauthier at 7. I'd be good with Kasper , Lambert, Lekerimakki or Nazar to the isles, but Nazar is by far my 1st choice.

Yeah, about the same for me with SJ.
I see it like this;
(Wilson Jr would rank them)

1. Lekki - Eklunds teammate; just a solid pick
2. Nazar - Guys a great pick for anyone, chip on his shoulder
3. Cutter - I think SJ would be enticed by to have a similar forward to Hertl in the pipes (big body with a two way game and a shot)
4. Kasper - Similar to Cutter but smaller yet has other benefits to the selection (I like both Kasper and Gauthier if Nazar and Lekki are off the board equally)

All would be great picks at 11, with Lekki and Nazar being "steals" for SJ at 11 that they cant pass on. Which as you say; I think CBJ would consider passing and go for another D (especially if they dont get Jiricek), I see the Isles getting the guy passed on

Don't put that evil sh*t out there and say isles are taking Geekie lol

Hey all I'm saying... OTT aint drafting Geekie or Cutter unless they truly want a riot in the city... like its quite literally a big selection that would cause mass fury. Following Boucher I don't think Dorian will even consider either top9 projecting power forwards. The continuous criticism Boucher/ the Sens got was constant throughout this past season (radio and TV - leading to local angst about his projection).

I mean there was obviously lots of talks to not hating on Boucher. Personally, I think that crap has subsided and people have realized he probably will be a NHLer (just a bottom 6er), and I think the hate towards him has passed and people have tried to find the positives. But obviously if that's the type of conversations happening on your teams radio station/ forums (with both Pro Analysts and joe blows having similar views) - Dorian knows.

But I could be completely wrong and should stop having faith in him as a GM.. We'll see lmao. Let's get @csick riled up haha

Which to clarify; I actually don't mind Gauthier, I might actually like him more then Geekie.

I think there's a pretty significant difference between Boucher and Geekie/Gauthier. Boucher was a 3rd rd talent, Gauthier is a top 20 talent in the draft and Geekie probably in the 20-25 range. I think there's a decent chance one of them gets taken by Ottawa, or at least I hope lol.

Gut feeling is Lambert falls to the isles at 13 but im just saying I hope the board falls that way because I really want isles to take Nazar. I would even trade up for him.

Geekie and Gauthier aren’t on similar planets. Gauthier is a lock for the top 10 now and could go as high as 5 imo. He’s one of the best goal scorers in the draft and with the transition to centre, it’s going to raise his value as well as he’s a good skater and got size .

Geekie is just a terrible pick. He’s the next Logan Brown. Terrible skater , doesn’t have high end offensive skill like a Savoie . He’s going to be a 3C at best

I wouldn't say he's a lock for the top 10 but if he is , great. I agree with you on Geekie

He’s def a lock for the top 10 got no doubts about that. My top 12 goes like this:

1) Wright
2) Slaf
3) Cooley
4) Nemec
5) Jiricek
6) Savoie
7) Kemell
8) Gauthier
9) Lambert
10) Lekkermaki
11) Nazar
12) Korchinski

I’ve been resigned to us picking Geekie for a while lol. Gauthier rising up draft boards (and Geekie falling) is almost a relief, because I think I like Gauthier more and he fits the bill of what we’ve been targeting in the draft over the last 3 years better than Geekie (both are big, but Gauthier can skate, those have been our only 2 things). We don’t really need a centre but Gauthier can also be a winger. I really hope we take Kemell or Savoie, but I would not be surprised if we took Gauthier (and only a little disappointed tbh, not as bad as Boucher, the bar is in hell after last year).

Yurov goes 13 and Mintyukov 14. Those are BPA by the way and not by team needs .

Man, Yurov's NHLe when it's broken down into what he did at each level is high. If politics can stay out of his career, he'll go in the top-10 of this draft every time we do a re-draft of it.

Agreed but it’s inevitable . And because he hasn’t put up points and barely played in the KHL, he won’t get picked in the top 10

does anybody know why they keep having the Combine in Buffalo?

LECOM Harborcenter is a 650,000-square-foot complex connected to the Buffalo Sabres' KeyBank Center in downtown Buffalo. The complex features two NHL-size rinks with feature rink capacity of 2,000; classroom, theater and training facilities; a 205-room full service Marriott Hotel; (716) Food and Sport restaurant; a unique Tim Hortons Café & Bakeshop dedicated to the Sabres legend; The Healthy Scratch eatery and parking.

At first I was surprised that Shawinigan won the Q with only 2 high-end NHL prospects, but then I remembered it’s the worst CHL league and literally only Quebec even comes close to matching Bourgault+Bourque 💀💀

Was scimming through some Dman prospects I would like Toronto to look at in the late 1st round and I just discovered 2 potential 1st round Dman are cousins

Owen Pickering and Denton Mateychuk are related

Who would have guessed

Anyways wouldnt mind either in Toronto. Chuck be my preference though based on his leadership traits

leafs need to draft a centre prospect. like, badly. they should be targeting guys like kulich, ostlund, or gaucher. maybe bystedt or jack hughes if they’re high on them, or geekie if he slips somehow

To me I think the plan is use the pick/s they get from Kerfoot to draft a C in the second or third round (whatever they get for him) as Dubas does have a knack for finding steals in the second round

Completely agree, C is a major issue for the farm system. Not a fan of Geekie or Hughes.

If they keep the pick(25) and IF one of these players are there, I’d be very happy with either:
Kasper, Beck, Ostlund, Kulich

Should they trade back which I believe is the smarter play considering their lack of picks:

Ronni, Lund, Sapovaliv, Ingram

RW and some no nonsense defensemen (hit, mean, hard to play against) should be prioritized. Obviously goalies too but they have at least tried to solve that with the additions of Petruzzelli, McKay, and Cavallin through FA.
