No thanks on both trades. The idea is to add offense at the deadline not exchange it with our own. Chicago probably declines anyways as that trade makes no sense for them

Explain the offense that Dube is providing? I'd take Toffoli all day over him. Strome trade would be after the season.

Dube can't buy a goal, his puck-luck is abysmal this year. His actually xGF and Corsi For are the same as Jordan Kyrou who has 28 5v5 points

I like Monahan, I do but this doesn't work for us. Strome we have control over and has shown he is willing to improve areas of his game. It would take a slight overpay IMO to get us to move Strome at this point in time. That could change when a new GM is announced in the coming weeks.

If Tkachuk won't budge on a long term contract this off-season, they should trade him before they lose him for nothing IMO. Would hurt the team quite a bit yes, but the value we get from him could help us at the same time

I don't think the Flames will think that way. Lots thought they should have traded Gaudreau in the offseason of he wasn't extended.

While not ideal for Tkachuk to sign for 9x1, they would have 5.2 off the books with Lucic. They could offer him 10+ if need be.

Anyway, I think Tkachuk/Gaudreau/Mangiapane will eat up 25 million of all three are Flames next season.
