The other trades got too much going on for me to try and evaluate. This one trade just stood out to me as odd

Flyers can't retain on 4 players and won't be interested in that. I know McDavid is the best in the world and is a hell of a hockey player but its not worth being in cap hell and not being able to give him a supporting cast to win to bring him in. The Flyers couldnt get any goalie or depth and would basically just be the Oilers but with worse cap and no Drai

This was just a trial run, all your points are absolutely correct, I don’t think McDavid is going to be an Oiler much longer, just getting sense of what a trade may look like, I definitely could have added quality to the trade - Skinner (NHL ready) better prospects & NHL players like Yamamoto instead of Kassian.

Absolutely and I think as a Flyers fan we would love to bring in McDavid to help bring the Flyers back to past glory. Maybe McDavid + Skinner + Kassian for Hart * Coots + Provorov + Konecny/Farabee + 2 firsts(2023+2024). Value might be a little low on Phillys side but something like that as a base
